SHAHAB SHABIBI
Shahab is the Co-Founder & CEO of Machine Ventures. He has been among the founding team of 7 companies & has launched 15+ internet businesses. Native to the internet, he started his first venture in the music industry by the age of 13. He then moved into sports as part of the team that started Tarafdari.com, Iran's #1 Sports News & Social Media site with 10 million monthly visitors. Shortly before graduating from Mapúa University & getting his degree in Business Administration, Shahab joined Rocket Internet to launch Tripda, a carpooling app in the Philippines. Shahab is a Forbes Under 30 and a Tatler Gen.T Awardee. He is a Global Shaper alumni, an initiative of World Economic Forum.
FAROUK MERALLI
Farouk is the Founder & CEO of mClinica, a venture-backed healthcare data and analytics company. Prior to mClinica, Farouk held senior roles in global pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer, Sanofi-Aventis and Roche where he focused on data & analytics, product marketing and patient programs in emerging markets. Farouk is actively involved in the startup scene in southeast Asia and has invested in and advised over ten startups in the healthcare, financial technology and consumer internet segments. At Machine Ventures he is involved in a strategic, non-operational role in the development of its portfolio companies. Farouk holds a bachelors from McGill and a Masters from Harvard University.
